Very few showers or storms around Alabama early tonight. A small shower has been persistent near Leeds on I-20 east of Birmingham.

A few other isolated ones.

A shower has persisted for several hours over Central Sumter County in West Alabama, It was part of a thunderstorm earlier over east Mississippi.

Interesting to see an west-to-east outflow boundry moving slowly north. It was along the Moundville-Centreville-Jemison line at 7:45.

Maybe when it reaches the Birmingham Metro area (translation, a heat island) it might trigger some redevelopment. Just a thought.

There could still be some redevelopment later this evening.
