At 11:50 a.m., the Blount County EMA office reported lightning damage. A few trees were struck by lightning and caught on fire in Oneonta. The 911 Center was struck by lightning and sustained damage.
The Marion County EMA Office reported that a lightning strike started a small woods fire near the community of Beaverton about 3 miles SW of Guin. They also reported at 12:50 p.m., a very large tree was uprooted and blown across a hosue 3 miles SW of Hamilton.
