A few showers developing across Central Alabama. Moving almost directly east.
At 12:40 pm, two of the showers have matured into thunderstorms, although not very large. One was over West Chilton County in the center of the state and the other one over Central Coosa County near Rockford.
NWS/SPC has part of East Central and SE Alabama under a slight risk for severe weather this afternoon and evening. That designation does not include the Birmingham Metro area.
