A few showers developed in the Birmingham as early as noon today. At mid-afternoon, widely scattered ones were indicated across mainly South Jefferson, Shelby and Chilton County.
Down south, they were a bit more numerous southeast of Montgomery down toward Troy. And moderate in intensity.
In South Shelby County, the shower was described as moderate to heavy (“bottom fell out”)
