The NW Alabama storms continue to march along.

Still moving generally SE.

The line of strong storms at 2:40 am was from south of Cullman, westward across South Winston County and then across the NW corner of Walker County near Carbon Hill and to near Fayette.

Strongest storms near Carbon Hill and over NE corner of Fayette.

Lightning detection equipment shows a slow decrease but still there are fluctuations.

Bear Creek, in NE Marion County has received over one inch of additional rain since midnight for a total so far of 2.20 inches.

Another report from the first batch of storms last evening is 0.83 at Moody in St. Clair County. Thanks to Skywatcher Matt Padgett.

And from Winston County, Becky reports that it has been raining “buckets and buckets” and that she can’t sleep because she lives in a house with a tin roof. I envy her. I love to hear the sound of rain on a tin roof!
