Not easy to describe the layout of showers and storms across Alabama this afternoon. But, we will give it the ole Havana Junction try. These notes:

* A Flash Flood Warning continues for NE Limestone and NW Madison Counties in the Tennessee Valley until 6:15.

* A Flash Flood Warning continues for Lamar County in West Alabama until 6:45.

* In the Tennessee Valley, radar indicates about 2 inches of rain in one hour in Limestone and Madison Counties with 1 or 2 inches of additional still possible.

* EMA reports road covered with water in East Limestone County and heavy rain continues in that area.

* Five miles SSW of Ardmore the EMA reports Flash Flooding in progress at 4:00 p.m. Water was over a couple of roads in the Thach community.

* It is also pouring rain over North Walker County.

* New storms developing over North Tuscaloosa County.

* A long curved line of storms extends from near Huntsville to Moulton to Hamilton to Vernon to Carrollton to Eutaw to Demopolis to Camden to Monroeville in extreme South Alabama. The line looks like a Crescent Moon. The ones up in NW Alabama are not moving much. From about Demopolis to Monroeville the line is moving NE.

* Other showers fairly numerous extend from Lee County in East Alabama northward all the way to the NE corner of teh state. Those seem to be moving slowly NE.

* Strangely enough, cities like Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Centreville, Marion, Clanton and Sylacauga have dodged most of the showers today. That will change later.
