1.44 inches of rain has fallen quickly at Jemison in Chilton County as strong slow-moving thunderstorms were lined up across the central part of the state.
The NWS issued a Significant Weather Alert for Clay County in East Central Alabama until 6.
The heaviest rain was over Central and North Chilton as well as South Sumter on the west side of the state.
