Leading edge of our line of thunderstorms, not as sharply defined now, extends from Centre to just west of Anniston, to Bibb, Chilton, Hale and Dallas Counties.
Some of the most brilliant lightning was between Clanton and Brent. But lightning is showing its stuff over a wide area. Often the most “beautiful” lightning can be seen after the line of storms passes your location.
Rain is lingering at least 50 miles behind the main line.

* Lynn in Montevallo reports lot of thunder, lightning and rain. She adds that all of our talk about the “wedge” lately makes her want a big wedge of chocolate pie.
