Storm Prediction Center (SPC) has reduced the extent of a slight risk for Alabama today.
The area from about Birmingham northward is no longer under a slight risk.
At 7, the strongest storms were over NE and East Central Alabama.
However, others were entering West Alabama and another broad band of storms further west. Those will move through here later today in connection with a cold front.
Overall, his does not appear to be a major severe weather threat. Only two reports so far when hail 3/4 inch in diameter briefly covered the ground near Tuscumbia and also about 5 miles east of Muscle Shoals.
