A line of showers and a few thunderstorms extends west to east across North Central Alabama.
At 8:30 pm, the line (and not a solid one) was from Lamar County east across Walker County to North St. Clair into Etowah and Cherokee County in NE Alabama. The heaviest rain was over South Walker and North St. Clair.
Down south it was pouring rain over much of Crenshaw County. In West Central Alabama, strong storms were near Demopolis and north of Livingston.
The storms were slowly decreasing in number and intensity.
High temperatures today were in the 80s all across Alabama including mid-80s in many areas.
