Almost no showers or storms in progress over the north half of the state. Down south there was a line of storms from Lowndes County NE across the Montgomery area into Tallapoosa and Chambers County. At one time this afternoon, Elmore and Montgomery Counties came under a Severe Thunderstorm Warning.
The NWS/Birmingham issued a Special Weather Statement (Significant Weather Alert) for Lee, Lowndes Macon and Montgomery Counties until 3:15. They also issued an Aerial Flood Advisory for Elmore County until 4:45.
Further south there were more thunderstorms over the extreme south part of the state. Some very strong storms dumping very heavy rain were over the Florida Panhandle between Panama City and Pensacola.
