A band of rain, some moderate to heavy, continues to circulate counterclockwise over Northwest Alabama late tonight.
At 11 pm, the rain extended generally from Pickens and Greene County northward to the Tennessee border. This included such cities as:
Florence
Russellville
Red Bay
Double Springs
Hamilton
Vernon
Fayette
Aliceville
This rain was west of Biirmingham and most of it was west of Tuscaloosa. The heaviest rain was over Colbert and Franklin County. Some of the heavy rain extended over into Northeast Mississippi.
The upper level low pressure area was centered tonight along the Mississippi-Alabama border generally over the Meridian-York-Livingston. It will not move much Thursday so there will be occasional showers and drizzle and it will be cool all day.
This will probably be our last update until early Thursday morning unless something unusual happens. There was little or no lightning in the rain area.
