First, an overview.

It appears that the mean ole thunderstorms are beginning to go downhill slowly. That is, overall. The number of real strong storms had declined some.

But still plenty of rough weather. Some notes:

* ABC 33/40 Skywatcher, Ronald Hughes, reported penny size hail at Coker in West Tuscaloosa County around 6 pm.

* North/south line of very strong to severe thunderstorms persists from Extreme South edge of Walker County down through West Tuscaloosa County, then along the Hale/Greene County line and finally into North Marengo County in the Demopolis/Linden areas.

* Everything is moving slowly south or SSW.

* Over in East Alabama, a cluster of very strong storms was along the Tallapoosa/Chambers County line.

* Sorry to say that we may have some more thunderstorms to deal with Saturday and even some on Sunday.

* Quite a few damage reports across North and Central Alabama this afternoon and early this evening. However, do not know of any major structural damage. Mostly large hail, high winds and flash-flooding.
