Showers and some thunderstorms continue to spread into NW Alabama from Mississippi. The showers extended generally from Fayette and Winston County northward to the Florence-Tuscumbia-Muscle Shoals-Moulton-Decatur area.
Strongest thunderstorms were over the two most NW Counties in Alabama, Colbert and Lauderdale. Considerable lightning in those, but overall, slowly decreasing.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch still in existence over NE Mississippi may be canceled before the expiration time.
We have no confirmed reports of damage in Mississippi overnight. However there were a number of hail reports from Arkansas in connection with this family of thunderstorms. Most of it was 3/4th of an inch in diameter. However, 1.75 inch diameter hail was reported in the middle of the night at Arkadelphia and Daisy, Ark.
