A few light showers are developing over Central Alabama. One is in the Trussville area.
To the northwest, a tornado warning is in effect for Lauderdale and Colbert Counties. This storm will stay north of the Shoals.
The tornado watch will be extended eastward across the Tennessee Valley, but not into Central Alabama for the time being I don’t believe.
The SPC has extended the slight risk outlook for this afternoon and tonight to include more of Central Alabama.
Storms over Central Mississippi are strengthening and I would not be surprised to see them cause problems later as they approach western Alabama.
