That line of showers and thunderstorms continues to slowly but surely move SE across North and NW Alabama.

At 1:30 p.m., the line of storms extended all the way from Jackson County in NE Alabama down through West Blount County and near the Jefferson/Walker County line and finally into NW Tuscaloosa County and North Pickens. The storms near the Walker/Jefferson County line seem to be the strongest.

This means heavy rain will be spreading in North and West Jefferson County shortly and possibly to the Birmingham metro area before 2:00 p.m.

Lots of scattered thunderstorms over SE Alabama also.
