The Storm Prediction Center is now getting more and more concerned about a possible limited tornado threat over the south half of Alabama. They are contemplating a formal watch later.

This conflicts with their general outlook showing a slight risk of severe weather today from about Montgomery northward.

LATEST RADAR
A shorter line of showers has developed out ahead of the main action. Those extend from near Greensboro, Marion and Centreville southward into SE Mississippi and some heavier showers in West Mobile County.

However, the main line extends from West Tennessee down through North Mississippi near Tupelo and then down into south/central part of Mississippi and then into SE Louisiana.

It is interesting to note that no additional warnings have been issued in those areas since around 4 o’clock this morning.

We will keep watching, especially the most recent threat for the southern part of Alabama.
