Here is a quick look at what is going on west of Alabama that we must deal with later (mainly Wednesday)

Storm Prediction Center has a slight risk of severe weather for today and tonight all the way from East Texas across Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, West Tennessee and to Extreme West Alabama by the end of the 24 hours. (Translation, West Alabama very early tomorrow)

Within that slight risk area is a “moderate risk” over East Texas and most of Louisiana except the Southeast. (New Orleans and Baton Rouge not in the moderate risk.

Tornado Watch now in effect for NE Texas and most of Arkansas.

At 10:50 am, the main shower and thunderstorm action was over:

South Illinois
South Missouri
NW Arkansas
East Oklahoma
Into Central and East Texas

No showers in progress across Alabama, Mississippi or Louisiana at 10:50.

Lots of Flash Flood warnings in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Texas.

This is a very wet weather system

Alabama will have to deal with this bad weather tomorrow, possibly before daybreak in the counties near the Mississippi border.

There will be an increasing amount of traffic on this weather blog overnight and Wednesday.

It may resemble traffic on U.S. 280 at rush hour.

So goes life…and, thankfully, life goes on…
