This is “short-sleeve” weather for me. I sure wish I was not so warm-natured. Anyway, lets “cut to the chase” as a famous Birmingham talk show host, Russ Fine, used to say and take a look at this morning’s lows around Alabama:

Broomtown* (Cherokee County) and Muscadine (Cleburne County)
Black Creek
Kimberly, Lincoln, Cottondale
McCalla, Fort payne Airport, Vigo (Happy birthday, Bill!)
Reece City, Munford, Concord/Hueytown, Pinson, Meridianville, Bear Creek, Cullman Airport
Noccalula Falls, Coker, Decatur, Troy, Bankhead National Forest
Moody, Vinemont, Crestline, NE Trussville, Muscle Shoals, Marion
Anniston, Evergreen, Montgomery/Dannelly Field, Alabaster/Navajo Pines
Albertville, Huntsville
SE Trussville
Tuscaloosa Airport, Birmingham Airport
SE Trussville, Shelby County Airport
Auburn, Selma
Dothan
Verbena
Mobile Regional Airport

* Thanks to D.L. Powell for sending the Broomtown report. That community is located in North Cherokee County in NE Alabama. It is a small community at the intersection of County Roads 46 and 99 about midway between New Moon and Ringgold. The Dirtseller NE to SW ridge is east and south of the area and Broomtown is in a valley. There is no end to my fascination about place names. For example, why were Broomtown and New Moon named that? I have wondered for years how the Dirtseller Ridge got that name!

USA EXTREMES
