Here we are again, tired and semi-blurry-eyed and watching thunderstorms again at the witching hour of midnight.
Seems that has become a habit lately but who needs sleep? One person in our weather crew, who shall remain nameless, always says “sleep is for sissies!”
As midnight approached a group of thunderstorms scattered across Central Alabama was moving almost due-south. The two stronger storms were lightning up the sky over Extreme South Bibb County and SW Shelby County.
Other smaller and more friendly storms were scattered across South Walker, Jefferson and Perry County.
We were not supposed to have this many storms this afternoon and evening and it is good to see them fading away.
This will probably be our last update unless the storms become belligerent again. If that happens, we will be here.
Meanwhile, the ole king-size bed looks more and more inviting. . . . .
