By soon after midnight, most of the significant showers in Alabama had shifted into the north third of the state. Specifically from Jefferson County northward to Guntersville, Huntsville, Scottsboro.

Heaviest rain (moderate to briefly heavy) was over North Marshall County and along the Madison/Jackson County line. Moving NE.

Still no lightning indicated.

No recent reports of real high wind.

A moderate to heavy shower was also over SE Russell County in SE Alabama.

Most of the rain missed NE Etowah County in NE Alabama again. Vic Bell, 33/40 Skywatcher for Scrougeout in that area reports a mere 0.04 rain in the last 20 days and only 0.80 in the last 36 days.

LAST 6 HOURS (RAIN AMOUNTS BETWEEN 6 PM AND MIDNIGHT TONIGHT)
0.02 Birmingham Airport
0.17 Tuscaloosa Airport
0.39 Muscle Shoals
0.11 Decatur

Since the showers are moving northward and diminishing somewhat this may (or may not be) our final update for tonight.
