A long line of thunderstorms extends from Extreme North Georgia westward across North Alabama, North and Central Mississippi to SW Arkansas.

Not as well organized as earlier.

But still way too much lightning.

Here in Alabama, the strongest storms at 3 am were:

* Walker and West Jefferson County
* Extreme NE Alabama in Dekalb County
* East Alabama across South Calhoun and Cleburne County

NWS, Birmingham issued a Significant Weather Alert until 3:45 am for Calhoun and Cleburne County.

All storms moving east.

A cold front (make that a “cool” front) has enhanced all of this, That front has now entered Extreme NW Alabama.

Very heavy rain Walker County spreading into West and North Jefferson. Heavy enough for possible street flooding.
