Very early on this Wednesday morning, a line of showers and thunderstorms extends west to east all across the very center of Alabama.

At 4:15 am, they were from the Livingston-Eutaw-Greensboro area on the west side of the state eastward to near Marion and Centreville and into Chilton and Coosa County.

Movement is toward the east. Some of the heavier rain was over North Perry County.

Almost all of these showers and storms were south of Birmingham and north of Montgomery. The storms are not severe and the amount of lightning is not that great. There has not been a Severe Thunderstorm Warning in Alabama since late yesterday. Even so, some communities are getting locally heavy rain.

The line of storms extends back westward across Central Mississippi. The line of storms is also drifting southeastward.

Another good chance of showers and thunderstorms today. So far, the NWS/Storm Prediction Center does not have Alabama in a “slight risk” of severe weather like yesterday. That does not mean we might not get a few.

Coffee just finished brewing. Yummy!
