At 5:35 pm:
Moderate shower just west of I-65 in the Hoover area. Another one along I-65 in South Shelby County.
3340 Skywatcher reported about 1/4 inch of rain in Columbiana earlier.
A heavy shower between U.S. 43 and State Route 69 smack in the center of Tuscaloosa County. It was 12-15 miles north of the Tuscaloosa-Northport area.
Another moderate to heavy shower at the north edge of Tuscaloosa County adjacent to the Fayette County line.
All of these grouped together only giving a tiny percentage of the area any rain.
The better showers/storms further south, across West Central, South and Southeast Alabama.
We need the rain. Heard that before???
