Central Alabama is getting a bit of a break in the showers this afternoon as seen on the radar from the Shelby County Airport.

But clouds are hanging in there as I expect them to do for the next couple of days. Temperatures remain relatively mild. The Tennessee Valley counties remained the coolest with values generally in the lower and mid 50s. Further to the south and just outside the frontal zone, the area from Birmingham southward was in the lower 60s or higher. Montgomery was sitting at 71 degrees at 2 pm.
We stay mild for the next couple of days until the overall pattern gets a major shift as a closed low comes out of the Southwest US to clear things out and to bring some much colder air to the Southeast US
