More heavy rain expanding over Central Alabama.

The overnight widespread heavy rain continued to work its way northward this morning. At 10:40 am, most of that rain was across the Tennessee Valley.

Now there is a new kid on the block. Widespread rain in the Eutaw-Moundville-South Tuscaloosa area in West Central Alabama. The heaviest rain was over Bibb County where it was pouring. The heavier rain is spreading NE into Shelby County. It should be raining in Birmingham again within the next hour.

The Flash Flood Watch continues in areas generally along I-20 northward. We are also under a “slight risk” area for severe thunderstorms. The SPC will update that outlook around 10:30 this morning.

TORNADO WARNING
It is from the NWS in Jackson. A warning for several South Mississippi counties until 10:15
