The line of strong storms that caused wind damage in the demopolis area of West Alabama earlier tonight has moved over into East Alabama.

At 12:45 am it was located from neat Gadsden to Ashville. Others were over east Central Alabama.

Another long line of showers was over West Alabama from near Jasper to east of Tuscaloosa to between Demopolis and Camden.

That line is the actual cold front. As soon as it reaches your area, the winds shift to the west and temperature drop sharply.

It was 69 degrees in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham but only 48 at Tupelo, Miss., and 50 in Columbus.

In East Alabama, a significant Weather Alert continues for Talladega, Cleburne, Calhoun, Cherokee, Etowah and Talladega County until 1:30 am.
