Tis exactly what we experienced over the weekend and this morning. Consider this:
* The high of 55 in Birmingham Sunday was 19 degrees below normal for April 15. It was the normal that we should have in mid-December.
* The low at Birmingham Airport this morning (34) was 15 degrees colder than normal and what we would normally have in late December.
* Actually some snow flakes on Lookout Mountain, in NE Alabama Sunday and even a few at Haleyville and Pinson. The latest that flakes ever occurred officially in Birmingham was on April 25, 1910.

NORTHEAST USA
A humongous storm (is humongous a real word?). We will post more about that storm a little later this morning along with some facts, but the interior of New England is getting literally buried by snow and flooding is a terrific problem in places like New Jersey and New York City and many other places. Winds atop Mt. Washington, New Hampshire have gusted well over 100 mph.
