Remember Josephine? She never did completely, totally, absolutely die. Her old bones are threatening to rise again. The area of disturbed weather, including some of her remnants, is located 200 miles NE of the SE Bahamas. Some slow redevelopment is possible over the next couple of days as ghost Josephine moves slowly WNW.
And to save having to make two separate posts, here are a few late morning spot reports:
Houston/ Hobdy Airport…partly sunny, NE 21, gusts 28
Sugar Land…mostly sunny, wind NE 17, gusts 32
Galveston…partly sunny, NE 18, gusts 30
Galveston/North Jetty…NE 28, gusts 34
Galveston Pier…NNE 17, gusts 28, sea surface temperature 84
Buoy 200 miles east of Port Isabel…W 47, gusts 57, 16-foot waves
We will post these spot reports more frequently as landfall gets closer and closer. A little later this morning we will take a close look at the NW Florida/Alabama/Mississippi coast.
