Looks like we may not set a number of record high temperatures today like we did in the previous two days.

The main reason is a persistent cloud cover over many sections of the state.

There was also a band of showers that extended across North Mississippi into extreme North and NW Alabama. As of noon, these showers had produced 0.20 of an inch of rain at Muscle Shoals Airport.

Here are a few spot reports around the state at midday:

68 in Muscle Shoals with light rain
64, cloudy, Huntsville
63, cloudy, Decatur
66, cloudy, Gadsden
73, cloudy, Tuscaloosa
69, cloudy, Birmingham
70, cloudy, Montgomery
74, cloudy, Shelby County Airport
70, mostly sunny, Anniston Airport
70, sunny, Alexander City
64, cloudy, Auburn
77, fair, Mobile Airport
75, mostly sunny, Evergreen
72, mostly sunny, Troy

While we are at it, let’s give you a few spot reports from other parts of the good old USA, including the vast skating rink in the Great Plains and Midwest.

32 Oklahoma City
37 Dallas/Ft. Worth
28 Topeka and Wichita
21 DesMoines
14 Minneapolis

Those temperatures were also at 12:00 Noon CST.
