Not much change in forecast thinking based on the morning model runs.

The GFS was weaker with the low, still showing a good band of snow moving through Alabama during the day Thursday. It was faster into the state, with snow beginning during the morning. Snowfall totals would generally be 1-3 inches with this run, with 2-4 inch amount possible in spots.

The European was weaker, with just cold frontal precipitation. About an inch in general with some 2 inch amounts possible.

We are still four days away from this system. It is not even in the U.S. yet, so we can’t track it. So we have a long way to go and a lot can change between now and then.

The screaming message is still the cold. We will see teens tonight, 30s tomorrow and more teens tomorrow night.
