MORE NOTES 1:30 AM EARLY (TOO EARLY) ON THIS MONDAY
It is still raining by the buckets across several counties in Central
Alabama. A Flash Flood Warning continues until 3 am for Bibb,
Jefferson and Tuscaloosa. But heavy rain continues from the
Mississippi border north of Meridian eastward into East Alabama.
Lightning earlier tonight was some of the worst seen in a long time
and the thunder shook houses and scared dogs badly. Our Little Miss
Molly has been in total seclusion for hours.
We are concerned about some new young storms forming along the
Mississippi-Alabama border between Columbus and Meridian. These will
be tracking eastward into West Alabama’s Pickens, Greene and Sumter
County dumping more heavy rain.
A Flash Flood Watch continues for a large part of North and Central
Alabama until at least Monday morning.
