RADAR CHECK AT 6:30 PM
A few small showers near Birmingham and over the west edge of Jefferson County. A couple of showers over St. Clair and Walker County. Nothing to compare with this afternoon’s big boomers when the lightning was very severe and the thunder was shaking windows and scaring dogs.

At 6:30, the main showers, and some thunderstorms, was a west to east line from east of Tupelo, Miss., eastward across the south part of Northwest Alabama’s Franklin County.

Movement of those was toward the NE.

This is not a complete report on events this afternoon.
