Doppler radar at NWS/Birmingham (Shelby County Airport) is out of service.
However, just before 7 o’clock, ABC 33/40 doppler clearly shows a line of showers (and some thunderstorms) from West Central Alabama down into the central part of the state.
Specifically, from Pickens County eastward across Tuscaloosa County into Bibb and Chilton County to near Montgomery.
Slow northward movement. The line not as solid as earlier and not as much lightning.
Much of Pickens and North Greene County getting welcome rain.
Also in the vicinity of Tuscaloosa/Northport and Centreville/Brent.
