Took a half-mile walk with my little 9-pound (pest) (pal) at sunrise and there was a cool feel to the air. The 0.14 rain that we got last night was slurped up by the ground about as quickly as one sip of coffee for me.

We do have some showers in progress already. For several hours there has been a nice area of showers along the Alabama-Mississippi border from near Livingston south into North Choctaw Country and even over into the Demopolis area. They also extend about 30 miles into East Mississippi along and north of I-20 near Meridian.

A few separate showers were in Central Alabama east of Selma.

In NE Alabama, a few were located between Ashville and Gadsden.

One thing slightly different. They are moving toward the SSE. Yesterday, the movement was more toward the south or even the SW.

RAIN AMOUNTS
We are compiling a long list and will post those before 9 am. We will even use the small amounts also so you can see how your area did in the raindrop roundup. We were especially glad to get a report from Bill in the Vigo Community late last night. He reported 0.75 and he was almost dancing in his garden. Vigo is a few miles east of Piedmont.
