Scattered showers were already occurring over parts of North and Central Alabama early on this Wednesday morning.
However, at 5 o’clock, the heaviest rain, by far, was over East Arkansas and NW Louisiana where thunderstorms were dumping very heavy rain. Much lightning with those.
NWS/Jackson has issued a Flash Flood Watch through Thursday morning for:
Northwest Mississippi
Southeast Arkansas
Northeast Louisiana
Those areas may get 2 to 4 inches of rain and possibly heavier.
Here in Central Alabama, there will be an increase in showers and thunderstorms tonight and especially Thursday.
