A relatively small family of showers has been moving ever so slowly southward through West Alabama this morning. Even though they are not especially heavy, they are moderate to heavy and moving slowly enough that they have time to give any community in their path a good drenching.

At 10:30 am, the heaviest showers were over East Pickens and West Tuscaloosa County. In Tuscaloosa, the main showers were NW of the Tuscaloosa-Northport area and moving slowly toward the SE.

Just a few rain amounts for the 24 hours ending at 7 am today:

0.53 Tuscaloosa Airport
1.01 Oliver Dam
1.39 Holt Lock and Dam
