We have a number of reports that I-59 is shut down in both directions near Gadsden between mile markers 183 and 186, which is a little north of Attalla. Seems like a number of trees were blown down in this region from the passing line of storms earlier this morning, this is the only report of damage was have statewide. Radar did show a bowing echo at the time.
The heavier storms are moving into Georgia now… but rain will linger for a few hours. My rain total in North Shelby County is up to 0.77″ now. J.B. will keep you updated on developments…
