Severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for northern Etowah and Cherokee Counties. Dangerous storm just north of Gadsden.
It is centered between Mountainboro, Rockledge and Reece City. It is crossing I-59 now. It will move toward Wilsonia and Centre. It will likely affect Weiss Lake.
Another intensifying storm was near Fyffe. It is going to pass near or just north of Fort Payne.
In the Birmingham area, showers extended from between Ashville and Oneonta to near Trafford then to Sumiton and Cordova. There is a gorwing storm in Northeast Jefferson County, drfiting down toward Argo. It will become strong soon.
