At 7:30 this evening, thunderstorms across Alabama had decreased in number and most of them had weakened considerably.

But not all.

A line of storms extended from Eastern Coosa County up to Central Talladega County still producing heavy rain and lots of lightning. Over North Alabama, there were scattered showers and storms over Winston, Cullman, Marshall, Lauderdale, Colbert and Franklin, all moving NW. They had decreased in strength.

A small noisy thunderstorm was along the Jefferson/St. Clair County line near Leeds and moving toward Trussville. Frequent thunder can be heard in Trussville and lightning detection equipment shows an increase, but radar reflectivity shows that it has weakened.

Those thunderstorms over South Talladega County will continue moving NW into East or NE Shelby County.

We will try to have some rain amounts a little later.
