Thanks to Cal Davis for these images… he writes:

“It’s been nearly a month since I moved to Mountain View, Wyoming, for my new job as a Safety Specialist with, well, let’s just say “a telecommunications company.” Amy and the boys won’t be here until October 28th, so I have had to find things to keep myself occupied.

Today, I drove a big loop from Mountain View (near Fort Bridger in the southwest corner of the state) to Alpine, Star Valley, Snake River Canyon, and Jackson to Grand Teton National Park. A large forest fire was burning, creating a huge cloud of smoke, but the view was still spectacular. I then came back through Kemmerer, home of the J.C. Penny “mother store,” the original store that opened in 1902. It was a 485 mile drive with spectacular fall scenery”
