They were in progress just before noon, clustered almost entirely over Randolph County in Extreme East Alabama.
The showers were light to moderate and moving almost due south toward Roanoke.
SPC has NE Alabama under a slight risk of severe thunderstorms this afternoon and tonight. It is generally along the Huntsville-Birmingham-Talladega line eastward.
We will be looking to the NE today from where these storms will be moving. Best time frame will be later this afternoon and tonight. The further east, the better chance.
