Radar shows some light snow flurries moving across parts of Bibb and Shelby Counties. The activity is moving rapidly southeast.

Shortly before 8 a.m., skywatcher Tom Randle in Trussville relayed a report from amateur radio of light snow at Arab in Marshall County.

It will be mostly cloudy today with a gradually lowering cloud deck. There could be a few snow flurries, changing over to a little light rain during the afternoon, before more snow flurries or light snow could happen tonight.
We do not expect any accumulations, except perhaps over Northeast Alabama’s higher ground where a dusting could occur. But we will be watching radar all day just to make sure we don’t get any surprises.
