Used to call this little feature, “Spotlight” but I think “Focus” sounds better. Will alternate this with Weather By The Numbers but no set schedule. I enjoy writing those little extra features.

Specifically today, we look at Chicago/Ohare. They are experiencing an unusual June so far. These specifics:

* Only one day this month that was warmer than average. That was on June 1 and only 1 degree above average.

* Eight of the first 15 days had highs only in the 60s despite June being the first month of summer!

* Average for the first 15 days only 60.4 and that is six degrees below average.

* Three days at the first of the month averaged more than 11 degrees cooler than average.

* Lowest so far 42 on the 4th and highest 81 on the 15th. The ole thermometer has only touched the 80-degree mark twice this month.

Will place a condensed version of this each time in the afternoon 7-day planner and E-Forecast. Some of these little short stories will be about some of the most remote places on the globe.
