Thanks to Bill, Brian, and J.B. for manning the blog tonight. I will be going offline at 10:35 and headed out of town (to the east to watch a certain football game tomorrow). Thought you might like to see the latest run of the RPM model, which is run every three hours. The 24 hour accumulated snow chart is below:

Consistency has been good in the idea of the best snow in Alabama (in recent runs) over the northeast counties of the state, generally from Birmingham to Fort Payne. And, even there amounts should be one inch or less; the best chance of anything over one inch will be up on Lookout Mountain in DeKalb County.
As Brian points out, the 00Z BMX sounding is very dry. The atmosphere will moisten up in coming hours, and there will be some decent web bulb cooling, but the lack of deep moisture will keep this event from becoming a big deal for most of us.
PICTURES: If you have some snow late tonight or early tomorrow, don’t forget to send your digital images to [email protected]. Better take them quickly since any snow that falls will fade away quickly tomorrow afternoon as the sun comes out.
Thanks for joining us on the all night snow watch!
