The E storm this year should have been named Ethel, if the WMO had a sense of humor.

Fred is strengthening, with top winds of 70 mph. It could get a lot stronger over the next 24 hours, before substantial weakening begins. Right now, it is forecast to peak at 95 mph. Don’t be surprised if it is stronger than that. Also don’t be surprised if it is almost gone in five days.

The storm/hurricane will turn drastically north over the next three days, staying well east of the islands of the Caribbean.
