J.B.,
Hope you’re doing well. I know I’m simply complaining, but I hate winter weather. I guess that’s because I’m a southern boy. Nonetheless, this winter storm that’s creating headaches for many states impacted my viewing area the last couple of days. It’s not been fun either. We had freezing drizzle to begin with. Then, last night heavy sleet came down along with lightning and thunder at times — THUNDER SLEET!
Then, some more freezing drizzle came down on top of that. The roadways are simply a mess…it’s hard to even walk outside. I had a viewer send in a picture of the sleet accumulation with a ruler just a county over from Lawton. It measured 2 3/4″ !!!!!! Can you imagine?
To top if off, some light snow fell in my western counties earlier this afternoon around Altus, Hobart, and Hollis. Finally, the sleet is shifting southeast around Dallas. We get to around freezing by midday Wednesday with a balmy 36 degree high.
