The cold front that we have been advertising, has pushed almost one-half way across Alabama. Just before 5:00 p.m. it extended from near Heflin to Sylacauga to North Chilton County and to near Demopolis.
A line of showers and some thunderstorms marks the front. Most of the lightning is over on the eastern side of the state. Some communities are getting moderate to briefly heavy rain when the front moves through.
The temperature drops quickly behind the front–about 10 degrees in 30 minutes in most areas.
This will probably be our last update unless something unusual happens.
