A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for the Tuscaloosa area. Winds are reported to be high at Coker with increasing lightining.
This storm will bring the potential of very damaging winds to Coker and on up to Northport and across the northern part of the city of Tuscaloosa.
Prepare for hurricane force winds possibly with the system.
A tornado watch remains in effect until 3 a.m.
