Two cases of gravity waves to talk about today. The first one is happening now in Arkansas, with stable, cold air near the surface and warmer air aloft, waves within the cold, dense air below. Waves approaching Little Rock:
The second case was sent to me by Jacob Gwin of Spring Hill, TN, on November 22. There may be waves running perpendicular to each other. Nice picture.
These waves seem to appear on satellite, also.
